This patch delivers a wave of adjustments aimed at refining agent performance and increasing counterplay opportunities.
The developers have focused on improving Waylay's gameplay flow, acknowledging her current weakness across all skill levels. Her teleport ability, Refract, feels much snappier with:
Reduced minimum time in Refract from 0.5s to 0.35s.
Reduced maximum time in Refract from 3s to 2s.
Decreased unequip time from 1 second to 0.8 seconds.
Faster reactivation wind-up, down from 0.1s to 0.05s.
Furthermore, her dash (Lightspeed) sees its unequip time reduced from 0.8 seconds to 0.6 seconds. Finally, Saturate (her satchel) is more potent with:
Decreased wind-up time before exploding from 0.75 seconds to 0.6 seconds.
Increased size from 10 meters to 12 meters.
These changes are designed to make Waylay a more fluid and impactful duelist.
To increase counterplay against fast activation abilities, Phoenix and Neon have had their utility toned down:
Phoenix's Curveball (flash): Wind-up time increased from 0.5 seconds to 0.6 seconds.
Neon's Relay Bolt (stun): Wind-up time increased from 0.8 seconds to 1 second.
These adjustments aim to give opponents a slightly larger window to react and respond.
Reyna's Leer (flash) has been slightly nerfed, with its HP decreased from 100 to 80. To provide clearer feedback, new audio and visual cues have been added, so you'll know when you're successfully hitting it.
Omen's Dark Cover (smoke): A minor but impactful change sees the removal of the audio cue that enemies previously heard when Omen threw a smoke within a small area around him. Allies will still hear it, ensuring better consistency with other controllers.
Brimstone's Sky Smokes: Conversely, Brimstone's smokes now have an added audio effect, allowing allies within 12.5 meters to hear him casting them, improving team coordination.
Several agents receive visual and audio updates for better gameplay clarity:
Breach's Aftershock: Visual effects around the wind-up and explosions have been refined to resolve faster and obstruct less gameplay space.
Sova's Recon Bolt: The audio on Sova's dart is now significantly louder, making it easier to pinpoint its travel, scanning, and giving it priority over other audio cues.
Sova's Owl Drone: Similar to Reyna's Leer, you'll now receive more feedback when successfully hitting the drone. Additionally, enemies will hear a light warning audio loop when spotted by the drone.
Clove's Pick-Me-Up: A new visual effect clearly indicates when the speed boost is active.
Killjoy's Lockdown: The delay on the detain pulse has been significantly lowered from 0.5 seconds to 0.15 seconds, with updated visuals to match.
Cypher's Cyber Cage: His dart visuals have been updated for improved followability.
